New York City, lacking color.

Though you may detest it (I doubt), I'm going to post photos of NYC, all or most of which are black and white. I hope you enjoy.

I really like the fourth one from the top. What makes you decide whether to shoot black and white vs. color in any given situation? I always have trouble deciding.

Thank you, Benji.

Actually, the B&W was done post-shoot. I always shoot color. Period. Mostly because my work camera, the REAL camera, doesn't even have the capability to shoot in B&W. All the color work is done on the computer. I'm becoming fairly proficient with image editing and manipulation. I'll maybe post some manipulation transitions on here some time.

Yeah I always shoot color as well, and change it to B&W on the computer, unless I am shooting RAW format, bit then only rarely. I was more getting at what makes a picture (struggling for adjectives) "better" or more appealing in B&W. Anyway, I would love to see some of your manipulated pictures here. Oh and what is "the REAL camera"?

uhh.. That would be a Canon 1D-s, 11.1 mp beast with the EF 70-200 F2.8 IS USM Canon lens. Real beauty, but real weight. Not something to carry about New York City.
